Engaging Communities for a Sustainable Future

01

Climate Change Education

Empowering students with essential climate change knowledge and awareness.

We conduct workshops and seminars in schools to educate students on climate change. Our initiatives aim to foster eco-friendly practices and promote environmental stewardship among the youth, ensuring they become informed advocates for sustainability in their communities.

02

Tree Planting

Implementing customized tree planting projects for environmental restoration.

T.R.E.E. Initiative organizes community-based tree planting campaigns to combat deforestation and promote biodiversity. By engaging local volunteers, we aim to restore degraded areas while improving carbon sequestration efforts and creating a healthier ecosystem for future generations.

03

Food Security

Enhancing agricultural practices for sustainable food production.

Our food security programs focus on providing farmers with innovative tools and training to adopt climate-smart agriculture practices. We assist in boosting productivity while ensuring sustainability, ultimately contributing to local food security and economic resilience in rural communities.

04

Sustainable Livelihood

Promoting strategies that support economic stability in communities.

We develop and implement strategies that foster sustainable livelihoods, encouraging community involvement in eco-friendly businesses and practices. Our goal is to empower individuals and households especially women with skills and resources, building a more resilient and economically stable future for rural communities.

Activities:

Advocacy & Community Engagement

For any plan, project or program to succeed, the need for advocacy and community engagement cannot be over emphasized. To get the buy-in of targeted beneficiaries and communities to drive our thematic areas of focus, we adopt the conversation approach with the support and endorsement of all stakeholders. At T.R.E.E. Initiative we believe in continuous mandatory awareness programs (CMAPs) to educate communities. We have developed several tools through which we deploy our advocacy

Training & Capacity Building

Education is a central tool at T.R.E.E. Initiative for reaching our target audience. We have the competence and a network of professional volunteers in thematic areas that can provide qualitative training and capacity building. Periodically we float summits, roundtable sessions, field tours and workshops to enlighten and equip participants in different fields including the use of technology. We teach the strategies and make available the tools required for implementing solutions. We also train and mentor young volunteers.

Project Implementation

In a bid to lead by example, we are directly involved with project implementation to provide appropriate intervention in specific areas.  For instance, we float tree planting projects in institutions, schools and communities and back it up with intense advocacy. We provide seedlings for tree planting projects from our nursery at subsidized rate and training for those interested in tree planting. We are always eager to collaborate to implement projects in our areas of interest

Monitoring & Evaluation

At T.R.E.E. Initiative, we understand the importance of evaluating the performance and progress of projects of any scale. We have in-house volunteers that are skilled and can be engaged for data management, performance evaluation and quality assurance for all projects. We run a thorough process to evaluate the performance of projects initiated by us as well as consult independent as evaluators for projects across the country.

Research

Our interest in research at T.R.E.E. Initiative is borne out of the need to be ahead of trends. We understand the critical role research plays in planning and advocacy. Our team of volunteers include academics with deep interest in research.  We are positioned to take on research briefs for various projects across the country.
